SAND stands for Shoreline Association for Neighbourhood Development Inc. We’re a volunteer-run, incorporated community group (IA4847820) made up of local Shoreline residents.
Our aim is simple: to bring people together. We do this by creating inclusive opportunities, hosting community events, and building strong support networks. We’re also here to help connect you with local information and services when you need it and to advocate for Shoreline with Council, State, and developer.

Everyone is welcome at SAND!
If you share our vision of creating a safe, friendly, and connected Shoreline community, you’re already part of what we’re about. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, share your skills, or give back, there’s a place for you here.

SAND is an independent community association and operates separately from Stockland.
We’re supported by:
Local fundraising efforts
Generous local businesses
Grants from public and private organisations
Membership fees
Our amazing volunteers
This support helps us deliver FREE events and activities that bring our community together.
-
Not at all! You can become a Neighbourhood Supporter for free and stay connected with everything happening in the community.
If you’d like to take a more active role, you can choose a paid membership, which includes voting rights at our AGM and an opportunity to be part of the Management Committee.
Membership options:
Neighbourhood Supporter – FREE
Ordinary Membership – $55 per household per year
Associate Membership – $35 per household per year
Membership fees help cover essential costs like insurance, administration, accounting, and meeting legal and statutory requirements, so we can keep running great events for everyone.
-
Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do.
Events like Breakfast BBQs, Light Up Shoreline, Movies in the Park, and Sounds of Shoreline only happen because people in the community step up and get involved.
No matter how much time you can give—large or small—it all makes a difference. Every idea, helping hand, and contribution helps create a stronger, more connected Shoreline.
