Movie in the Park: A Magical Night Under the Stars

On Saturday 27 September 2025, Shoreline came alive with laughter, community spirit, and the heartwarming charm of Paddington in Peru at our very first Movie in the Park event — and what a night it was!

We were honoured to have the event officially opened by Hon. Rebecca Young, MP, and Councillor Julie Talty, whose warm words set the tone for an evening full of connection and joy. With around 300 attendees, the park was buzzing with families, friends, and neighbours coming together to enjoy a beautiful spring evening.

The atmosphere was electric — from picnic blankets scattered across the grass to the delicious aromas drifting from our food and drink stands. A special shoutout goes to the SAND sausage sizzle, which had one of the longest queues of the night! Clearly, the community knows where to find a good snag.

We were also thrilled to welcome some of our amazing sponsors, whose support helped make this event possible. Their presence and contributions added an extra layer of excitement and generosity to the evening.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible SAND team and volunteers, whose hard work and dedication brought this vision to life. This event marks the first of many for Shoreline and the surrounding community — a celebration of togetherness, local pride, and the kind of neighbourhood spirit that makes Shoreline the place everyone wants to be.
